New captain america sucks2/8/2024 Run two Blessings of the Vishanti with Free which dont exhaust and keep stacking In all honesty though, all things equal, Dr Strange is OP for support and you can put him with any other hero to make that hero look good. I can't find any reason to complain about wolverine on U3 difficulty when paired with dr strange. I also use strange to refresh items like greater strength tonic (+100% damage, can stack with strengthened's +50%) which I use on wolverine before a big Midnight Special. If you read his profile he was designed to be paired with Strange (it keeps mentioning you want to buff his chain attacks). And use dr strange to buff his chain attacks with Vishantis Blessing. Use dr strange to conceal him after he taunts, this wastes the enemy's turn (they don't retarget). Messaggio originale di snuggleform:He seems like he sucks until you pair him with dr strange. Which is part of why he's locked into every story mission involving Sabretooth. Ironically he's not the best at any given thing that he does but is capable of a lot of things in a single card. Many of these things come bundled (Counter-Weak-Taunt/Vulnerable-Knockback) as well. no need for mods) of Strengthen, Counter, Weak, Taunt, Lifesteal, Vulnerable, (Forceful) Knockback and (self-)Cure+heal (usable while stunned or Dazed). He's also got a lot of options in his kit that can let him be rather versatile. Strange in particular but he also works quite well with any hero that has a means of applying mark to many targets (Ironman/Wanda). He does have amazing synergies, as others have listed above that other heroes lack. Wolverine has Berserk for lifesteal and if you build his friendship his healing factor can also be used: you just really need to make sure he survives whatever is aiming at him at turn end (or don't if you have his 'free' revive still). Cap builds much bigger defense much more easily and has some wiggle room with potentially 2 health bars of effective HP but he has no built in health restore and those debuffs all ignore block to chip away at his health below the block. One of the few things he does better than Captain America is handle select debuffs like Wound, Corruption, and Bleed. Wolverine is a fine hero his biggest problem is that most of what you want him for is done better/easier by another hero that you get even earlier than him (Captain America). Those aren't going to compare all that well to something like the Hunter's Slash+ that does 50% + forceful knockback, which is typically 100% to each of 2 targets or 200% to one if you knock the enemy into an ally, for a total of 250% on a reasonable benchmark attack. I think if you benchmark his cards his Chain Swipes does 100% offense split across 3 hits, and Eviscerate does 200% split across 4 hits for 2 heroism. And secondly he lacks a really hard hitting move (excepting his legendary), although his attacks and heroics do largely reflect that in cheap costs and flexible use. His weaknesses are probably firstly that his lifesteal does feel pretty lacklustre for tanking on the higher difficulties, particularly when compared to heroes who can generate block (especially Captain America who can gain block for each point of damage inflicted over 2 turns instead of lifestealing for 1) and effectively raise the maximum incoming damage they can soak up. He gets a personal revive even on ultimate III, he's one of only a couple of heroes that has strengthen naturally on a card in their deck (as well as weak), his large number of chain attacks scale really well with flat damage increases like those that come from Doctor Strange's Blessing of the Vishanti and Agamotto's Gaze cards and he has a really strong legendary ability. Honestly, he's one of the weaker heroes, though he does have certain strengths.
